I just installed a 60 amp charge controller with 4 195 watt panels wired in paralell, and using 12 volt batteries. Yesterday, the controller was charging at about 28 amps and every 8 - 10 minutes or so the cooling fan would come on and it would stop charging. This condition would last a few minutes and it would go back to charging, then repeat the cooling/stop charging. This concerns me. If it is doing this with 28 amps, how is it going to do when I have full sun this summer? It seems like something isn't right. The case only get up to about 81 degrees while this is happening.
