Assistance Needed – ECO-WORTHY 3,500W Inverter PV Input and Charging Issue

  • Hello,

I am very new to solar systems and am currently experiencing an issue with my ECO-WORTHY 3,500W inverter and two STAR 990W bifacial solar panels (2 × 495W UL61730 N-Type panels).

After connecting the system, the inverter display recognizes that the PV panels are connected. However, I do not see a connection/flow indicator on the inverter display showing power flowing from the PV panels to either the battery or the load.

The inverter app is showing the following PV input:

    • PV Voltage: 74.70V
    • PV Current: 0.30A
    • PV Power: approximately 26W

This seems extremely low considering I have two 495W panels, for a total rated capacity of approximately 990W.

I also have the AC input connected, and the charging mode is currently set to the default setting.

    Current Settings

    • Setting 01 – Output Source: SOL (PV Priority)
    • Setting 06 – Charge Source: SNU (Solar + Utility/Mains)

    What I am experiencing

When the PV breaker is ON, I do not see any flow/connection lines on the inverter display showing power coming from either the AC input or the PV panels to the battery or load.

When I turn the PV breaker OFF, the AC input will feed the load, but it does not appear to charge the battery. The battery is currently at approximately 85%.

The inverter app continues to show the PV input at approximately:

    • Voltage: 74.70V
    • Current: 0.30A
    • Power: 26W

I am therefore confused about several things:

    1. Why is the PV input only approximately 26W when I have two 495W panels connected?
    2. Why is there no flow/connection indicator on the inverter display showing PV power going to the battery or load?
    3. With the PV breaker OFF, why does the AC input power the load but apparently not charge the battery?
    4. Are my current settings correct for PV priority with AC backup charging?
    5. Is the inverter preventing charging because the battery is already at approximately 85%?
    6. Could there be an issue with the PV wiring, polarity, breaker, panel configuration, or another inverter setting?

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue. I am new to this system and want to make sure everything is configured correctly and safely.

Thank you for your help. I look forward to your guidance.
