I have an existing 24v solar system to which I want to add an eco worthy 400 w wind turbine.
My electrician set everything up but seems to have hit a problem. He tells me he can't connect everything together without a dump facility and an extra regulator. I have no idea what he means, and we also have the additional problem that we are in Sicily and I don't speak Italian and he doesn't speak English so we are both standing scratching our heads and not knowing the next step.
Does anybody have any experience of trying to connect a wind turbine to an existing solar system and can give us a suggestion as to what extra piece of kit we need to get everything working.
Please bear in mind that I am a complete beginner and probably appear to be a complete idiot.
