Hardware install in Phoenix outside in shed

  • I am wondering what temperature the systems need to be housed in.  In Phoenix Summer heat it may get to 120 outside.

  • Go to the inverter and battery product pages at the Eco-Worthy store website. Scroll down until you see the manual downloads for those products. In the manual it will show you the specific operating temperature range.

Inside your shed should not get hotter that 113 F. (based on most electronic equipment). I live in central New Mexico and it gets hot here also. I built a shed and insulated it really well. Not good enought, still too hot unless you add air conditioning. I ended up moving the batteries and inverter to a building that is in the shade and is much cooler.  This also made me run conduit from the solar panels to that building. It was worth doing it.
