Series or Parallel

  I have a 200w complete kit and another 200w addition, 4 batteries (12V/20Ah). So does all of this have to be connected as parallel?

  Hi,

  The inverter inside the kit should be a 12V version, which means it needs a 12V battery bank, so both panels and batteries should be wired in parallel.

  Or if you plan to replace the inverter with a 24V version, then the 4 batteries could be wired in 2S2P, 2-serie strings in parallel, as well as the panels.
