I grew up in Connecticut such a small town where whenever it rained we would lose power.  Fast forward more than 40 years and while we don’t lose power as often when we do it’s usually from a big weather event.  A few years ago a microburst hit my town and the devastation was tremendous.  We were unable to get out of our road for 3 days due to downed wires and trees and we were without power for 14 days.  I needed to have something besides a gas generator so I started my solar journey by making a 12V cart with a pair of Eco-Worthy 100W panels, a 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery and a cheap 500W inverter that I had for years in a closet.  I learned a lot from that little system.  It grew quickly into 4 100Ah batteries, larger inverter and an Eco-Worthy dual axis tracker with 6 Eco-Worthy 100W panels.  At that point the limitations of 12V were apparent and I moved to a 24V system and finally this year to 48V.  My current system started with an Eco-Worthy Cubix 100 battery and Eco-Worthy 6kW AIO split phase inverter.  I now have 12,200W of solar panels and 64 kWh of battery storage across both my 24 and 48V systems.  Moving forward I expect to continue to expand the 48V system and retire the 24V system.  
So when we lost power my family didn’t even notice!  This is exactly what I’ve spent years building a system for and it did not let me down!  We are committed to continuing to expand our Eco-Worthy system with additional 6kW inverters so we can eventually take the whole house off grid.
