Update

Wanted to give an update after a month of use. Built a fold up awning on the back of the portable workshop trailer. Now all 8 solar panels running. Running the ac an extra fan the lights some battery chargers and occasional pancake compressor. After 9hrs still had 44 percent left on 1 100ah battery. Never had to start the generator. Makes it really nice traveling with the ac on. Stays 75 deg in the trailer. I did change the ac settings to a 2 degree differential as well. I have been playing with the settings as to charge rates and cutt offs. The functionality has been excellent. The automatic transfer switch i built for when I plug it up to shore power when I get home hasn't caused an issue thus far. The unit just start charging the battery conbine with pv. When I'm ready just unplug and go. Been really impressed. Will update again in a few months.

Good starter kit

Got the system after a week. Some damaged solar panel packaging. Otherwise panels ok. I bought the system for my portable workshop trailer. I was running my generator the whole time. Now I can use my generator as a supplement to the solar. When just running the a/c, lights and few small tools. I can run mostly off solar. Only pulling about 5 to 8 percent and hr on the battery. Which gives me a lot of run time before needing the generator. A couple of mentions. I did order a disconnect for the solar panels, a fuse for the battery line. I had everything else. The system has performed flawlessly for about a week now. I reset the parameters on the battery to shut down at no lower than 20 percent. The shore power kicks in and keeps everything going while recharging the battery. The 8 panels were just enough to take up all the room on my trailer. Going to do some testing as a ups also. Now I just need a couple more batteries. I will upload some picks when the system is completed. Oh. Did I mention I'm making it portable. Going to ba able to roll it into the house. Or the work shop. This is a pick of the cart for the unit when I first started on it.

Excellent, reliable system

Bought and installed the 1170W bundle about a year and 1/2 ago... been running pretty good. Keeps my freezer and fridge in my garage off grid.
only issue I have is that the battery % charge indication is pretty worthless. for most of the day it is shows between 35 and 55%. So when the sun goes down and the first small load is applied (less than 200W) it takes about 10 minutes and the system says the (24V 100Ah) battery is already at 45%. during the next 10h (through the night) the battery just goes down another 15-20%, so when the sun comes up is says it is between 25 to 30%.
As I said, the battery charge level is annoying, but otherwise, the system works great.
