The hardware is good, it comes with cables and a wi-fi capable datalogger (which I have not tested yet since installs so far have been remote with no wifi available). The install documentation is good enough for an experienced installer, but probably a little difficult for the first-timer DIY owner.
I do have a few minor suggestions that would make the install much easier:
- change the terminal block cover design from using 5 TINY philips head screws to a hinge and latch. The TINY screws are easy to drop, and difficult to see/access in tight spaces.
- access to the bottom back mounting bolt is quite tight... It's easy to drop the screw inside during installation, and difficult to recover.
- the battery cable cutout/port on the bottom is oblong for both cables rather than two separate round standard sized holes for typical cord grips. On the plus side is a dielectric separater, but on the negative, if a terminal bolt is dropped inside during install, it is difficult to recover because its behind a flimsy clear plastic cover.
- The biggest objection I have is the terminal block for Grid/Gen input, and Load output. Given that this is a 5000watt-120v unit, 6AWG wire should be used, and the terminal block openings are hard to see, and a little too small for easy insertion.... and the philips terminal screws are on the small side to get adequate torque. I would MUCH prefer properly sized lever blocks, or using actual circuit breakers for terminal blocks... but this would require hinge/latch cover for quick access to breaker(s).
The units are stable and dependable, but unfortunately, the company does not have the software for pc operation even though there is a usb port for it.
I bought two eco-worthy ECO5000W(SR) hybrid inverters, they are connected in parallel in split phase and I have had them working for over two months now and I have to say that they are very good, to date they have not presented the slightest failure or instability, they respond well to changes in the main grid. The integrated MPPT works perfectly. During this period I have been changing the configurations to adjust them to my needs and in each of the variants the performance is excellent. Right now I have them configured in [01] BT1ST, [06] ONLYPV and I am delighted with their operation. However, the only thing I have not been able to get to work are the Dataloggers that they bring for remote monitoring, However, for this one problem I give it 5 stars because I am really happy with the inverter's operation.. Otherwise everything works at 100%. So I recommend this inverter.
Easy installation
After 2 weeks it is still working. However, I am having difficulty finding instruction for connecting the BT and WiFi on the new ECO5000W(SR). Please check your messages for my information I submitted a few days ago and call me back.
