I have been using 5 of the 16kw 314ah free standing batteries for 3 months now. That's about 80 kw. No issues. Using EG4 12000XP with Lux protocol. Runs whole house with 2 of the 4 ton ac unit at once. Communications are working great. SOC is accurate. Will buy and recommend.

Would be nice if it were to have a safety certification

I had purchased two of these batteries. Very well built, and everything works well with my 12000xp so far. However as a suggestion, it would be nice if the cabinet were made so that the front and rear covers could be swapped so the cables would come out whatever side you want. This would help making cleaner installs.

When I first built my home solar system, I purchased two EG4 100Ah server rack batteries. While they worked, I found that they struggled to keep up with my overnight power demands. That led me to start researching larger battery storage options, and one name kept coming up over and over again: Eco-Worthy.

I knew Eco-Worthy periodically runs some outstanding sales, so I waited for one of them. About a week later, they discounted their wall-mount batteries, and I purchased two PowerMega 51.2V 314Ah (16 kWh) wall-mount batteries.

Shipping took a little while, but when they arrived, I was impressed with how well they were packaged. Everything was extremely secure and protected. Since each battery weighs nearly 300 pounds and I'm now 63 years old, getting them into place wasn't exactly easy—but I got it done.

One of the first things I noticed was that Eco-Worthy has upgraded the battery connections. They now include 2/0 AWG battery cables with proper heavy-duty lugs instead of the quick-connect style used on some earlier models. That was a huge improvement in my opinion.

Another pleasant surprise was that both batteries came with a very sturdy combiner box that can be mounted directly to one of the batteries. That made for a much cleaner installation and was definitely a big plus.

For my installation, I also added additional 2/0 AWG battery cables, a heavy-duty DC disconnect switch, and a 200-amp Class-T fuse for added protection.

After removing my original batteries, I connected both PowerMega batteries through the combiner box and then to my inverter. I noticed they arrived at approximately 30% state of charge, which was perfectly acceptable.

Once everything was connected, I powered up the system. My inverter immediately recognized the battery BMS and began charging the batteries without any issues.

By the middle of the following day, both batteries had reached 100% state of charge. At that point, I knew everything had been wired correctly and that the BMS communication was working exactly as it should.

I then downloaded the Eco-Worthy app to my phone. The app allows me to monitor battery voltage, current, state of charge, temperatures, cell information, and many other parameters from virtually anywhere through my Wi-Fi connection. It has worked flawlessly.

These batteries have exceeded my expectations. Since installing them, they have easily supplied all of my overnight power needs with capacity to spare. They have completely transformed the performance of my solar energy system.

In my opinion, Eco-Worthy has officially moved beyond being considered a "budget brand." Their current products feature Grade A prismatic LiFePO₄ cells, active cell balancing, Wi-Fi monitoring, and communication with many modern inverters.

I was also pleased to learn that these batteries are backed by recognized safety testing. Eco-Worthy markets them as part of a UL 9540-certified Energy Storage System (ESS), and the company states that its energy storage products have successfully passed UL 1973 and UL 9540A safety testing. That gave me additional confidence in the quality and safety of my investment.

If you're looking to expand your solar battery storage, I can honestly recommend these batteries based on my own experience.

Right of the bat working perfectly. We do have a warning "FULLY" that isn't covered in the manual. We think it has to do with active balancing. Will reach out. But yes working great!

As a battery it works great. I was not able to set up wifi monitoring however.

I was very impressed on the packing for a battery of this size (315lbs). It was received in excellent condition. Battery functions as advertised and would order another one if I could.

Got ship to me in good shape and hook up easy and running great.

Works well, high build quality. Only reason for the 4 is SOC display is not reliable.

I unboxed this and hooked it up last night. It is charging from the solar array as I type this. It is a beast and very heavy so team lift to get it out of the crate is mandatory. It comes packed securely in it's own crate on a small pallet. No issues with shipping except you need to watch your Amazon messages and provide delivery information before they will ship it. If you don't respond to the message after a few days, they will cancel the order (ask me how I know). Otherwise shipping was faster than projected on Amazon.

So far, I really like this battery. I got the V2 or whatever the updated version is called. It is exactly what I wanted. 3/8 terminal lugs on the side instead of the old quick connect type. The supplied battery cable is 2/0 (very thick), about 6 ft long, and silicone jacketed. It is very supple and high quality, just a pleasure to work with. I am going to be reaching out to ECO-WORTHY to see if I can order more of these cables. They also include plastic covers that slide on to the cable terminals securely with a satisfying "snap" sound when they lock.

The integrated breaker is solid and covered with a plastic door (very nice feature) to prevent accidental tripping on/off. I have this hooked up to my EG4 6000XP inverter via the CAN bus and it communicates fine. I just set the protocol to Luxpower on the touch screen and the id set to "1" on the dip switches and then power cycled the battery. That is all the settings I have done to the battery so far. I can see SOC via the inverter interface immediately, although some of the battery parameters do show up like they did with the EG4 batteries, but I can get that info from the bluetooth/wifi on the battery. The touchscreen looks cool, but it is a little hard to read unless you are looking straight at it, but it is very usable. Bluetooth connected with no issues and BMS-TOOLS app works 1st try. Have not setup wifi yet, but will do so soon. Also comes with “L” brackets to attach to the wall. Casters are solid and it rolls around on my garage floor easily.

I am planning to sell my other EG4 server rack batteries and buy another one of these ASAP. I love this battery! I will update this review in a couple of weeks when I’ve had a chance to run off of it for a while but this is a serious upgrade to my energy storage needs and at this point is 5 star – would recommend!

Edit: been running my whole house for the past week and 0 problems so far!

Easy to install with the buss bar. Replaced my old AGM system in a few hours. Very heavy so watch your toes. Would buy again.
